I have borrowed/adapted this saying because this is exactly how I feel about moving images; they should capture us, shake us to our very core and above all, inspire us.
As a passionate television journalist and director with over 15 years of experience, I know the industry inside and out. My experience includes documentary films, reality television and factual entertainment. My fortes include in-depth research and a knack for storytelling. I leave my personal fingerprint by approaching stories and digging deep beneath the surface.
What drives me is on the one hand my passion for storytelling and on the other hand the wish to use the power of moving images to capture and show life in all of its many facets. I am known for my honest, intuitive, and exact approach to challenging stories.
I have worked for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF), several Red Bull owned entities such as Servus TV, for the Austrian private Channels ATV and Puls 4, as well as for several production companies.
With the urge to explore the world, I left my hometown Graz after graduating from high school. I moved to New York City with only 20 dollars in my pocket and two cameras in my suitcase. Here I lived for 1,5 years before moving to Ireland where I lived for the next 4 years.
My travels have influenced and shaped me and reflect the curiosity and openness I have
always had to meet people, to listen to their stories and to learn about their lives.
In 2003 I moved to Vienna to attend University, where I earned a degree in Theater, Film and
Media Studies.
After graduating, I began to immerse myself in the challenging and exciting world of television, a world to which I have remained true till this day.
